A hand-printed linocut featuring a striped cat with a snake coiled tight, its tail caught in the cat’s mouth. The snake holds fast. So does the cat. The scene can be read a few ways: a standoff, a cycle, a strange partnership, a subtle shift in balance. Dandelions at the cat’s feet ground the image in something ordinary and persistent, while carved textures and bold black ink give the piece a timeless, slightly feral quality.
